The world was impacted by the Coronavirus, shutting down many entertainment companies like movie companies and the NBA. Both of these entertainment companies had to adapt to Covid 19 to remain operational. Movie theaters had to completely close at the start and today are oped limitedly. The NBA during quarantine had to change rules, and how people could watch the games while no longer in person to stay safe.

 Movie companies:

Popular companies like Netflix have had less adapting to do that movie theater company, Netflix is already an all online company. Although this does not mean they are not changing. With movie theaters closing and preventing people to attend movies at theaters with family and friends. But Netflix is stepping into sold that issue for movie watchers.

Popular companies like Netflix have had less adapting to do than movie theater companies, Netflix is already an all online company. Although this does not mean they are not changing. With movie theaters closing and preventing people to attend movies at theaters with family and friends. But Netflix is stepping in to solve that issue for movie watchers.

Netflix has made a google extension called Netflix party. It allows people to watch movies and shows on Netflix together while talking together. ¨Netflix Party is the closest thing we have to an open-air cinema with friends¨ says Ameek.

With this new great addition and adaption of Netflix, it allows us to socialize over a good movie with friends and family and stay safe. Bringing a small piece of a social life back to us.

NBA:

The NBA is a major viewed entertainment company and has a large in-person attendance of spectators of the games being played. With the Virus outbreak, the sport had to make new rules and other adaptations to allow people to spectate and for the players to play.

A new way was made for fans to attend while watching the game on your t.v did not change. Fans could sign up, and potentially be selected by the team to attend the game virtually on a screen behind their bench and cheer them on. ¨since there are only 320 slots available, the NBA is leaving it up to the individual teams to select the fans they want to invite for a digital seat¨says Kyle Dalton.

This was a great success in the remainder of last season, it even made watching the games from home fun too, watching them cheer. But it also was a great adaptation because it was free and allowed viewers to watch from home, and be a part of the game like they once were.

Conclusion:

In conclusion, entertainment companies like Netflix and the NBA have and are adapting during the Coronavirus. Like Netflix party and virtual fans to help us socialize and attend large events virtually. improving their companies and helping viewers.

  1. All the entertainment shutting down due to coronavirus really stinks. Although I'm glad that eventually the NBA starting playing again because for awhile the NBA was suspended and not playing at all. I think they made some great adjustments in order to keep the players and fans safe. Have you ever attended the game virtually on a screen behind the bench?

    1. Me too, i'm glad we are trying to find other ways to do the things we used to be able to. I have never attended a basketball game as a virtual fan, although I have not attempted to either.

  2. I like how you grouped the different sections and really focus on your main point while brining up different things that are being affected. The only suggestion I have is to indent all of your different paragraphs so they are the same. However other than that I think it is great and I like all the visuals that are given.

  3. It is cool that Neflix has the Party feature! I wanted to tell you that the font and sizes are different throughout your blog post. But otherwise it looks good!
